Let's talk dirty
Welcome to Mangle & Wringer
Hello and welcome to Mangle & Wringer, the little Cotswold company that offers you an alternative to the harsh chemical cleaning products that line our supermarket shelves.
If you’ve ever worried that filling your home with a mixture of unpronounceable, synthetic ingredients could be more harmful to you, and your family, than the dirt and bacteria they’re designed to remove, then you’re in the right place. I believe there’s a better, healthier way to look after your home than the toxic chemical warfare the big manufacturers promote, so I’m delighted to share with you the 100% natural cleaning remedies I inherited from long time housekeeper Bette Smith.
You can read more about our story here.
I also have pleasure sharing Bette’s many years of housekeeping experience and her wisdom and tips to help you protect your household simply, safely and effectively.

Temporary Closure of Online Shop
We are temporarily closed.
We have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our online shop from 30th September.
We’ve worked hard to keep our workshop open during this ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, as a very small team without a large warehouse or automated systems, we're finding it more and more difficult to keep up with both making our products and dispatching them efficiently and safely.
This closure will give us the opportunity to fulfil outstanding orders, replenish our stock and make some changes that better serve our changing world.
We’re hugely grateful for all the support we’ve received over the last 6 months and we look forward to reopening with renewed energy and restocked shelves very soon.
Please subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on Instagram and facebook for updates.

There’s no doubt that committing to a zero waste, no plastic Christmas isn’t as easy as it sounds. At the beginning of December I was full of enthusiasm and also buoyed by a wave of nostalgia. I r...
It’s beginning to look a lot less plastic…
I love looking through Bette’s books, particularly at this time of year when they portray a very different Christmas to the one we’ve become accustomed to in the 21st century. The plum pudding wou...
Time to stir up some family traditions?
