Bette’s Bar is our original cold-processed soap, which is suitable for cleaning just about anything. We make it by hand, in the traditional way, as Bette did for more than 70 years.
Made from 100% coconut oil it is natural, safe and non toxic. It doesn’t contain detergents, dyes, fillers, perfumes, phosphates, optical brighteners or petroleum based ingredients, which could irritate sensitive skin, and it is readily biodegradable and safe for septic tanks.
Use it in the laundry as a gentle stain removal booster. It’s particularly effective at removing grease and oil stains and is great for collars and cuffs. See our Stain Removal SOS Guide download for more information.
Used around the house there is very little Bette’s Bar can’t tackle. Very gentle on skin, it can be used on a cloth or brush or as a solution in warm water.

Bette’s Bar is our original cold-processed soap, which is suitable for cleaning just about anything. We make it my hand, in the traditional way, as Bette did for more than 70 years. Use it in the laundry as a gentle stain removal booster. It’s particularly effective at removing grease and oil stains and is great for collars and cuffs and grated into a bowl of warm water it is a gentle hand wash for delicate fabrics and wool.
Directions for use

Ingredients
100% Saponified Coconut Oil.
For Lavender and Chamomile: additionally includes Organic Lavender and Chamomile Essential Oils.
For Eucalyptus and Rosemary: additionally includes Organic Eucalyptus and Rosemary Essential Oils.

This product is supplied in 100% paper packaging which is fully recyclable and fully compostable.

I just washed my 9 year old’s school t-shirt and forgot to use the stain remover/Bette’s Bar, so essentially washed IN a mystery stain of unknown origin at 30 degrees as I didn’t do a pre wash. Looked pretty awful when it came out and it was heading for the recycling bin, but I thought I’d give the Bette’s Bar a go on the t-shirt as wasn’t going to loose anything and it’s always been magical on other stains (it even removes pomegranate splats too!) Literally got the mystery stains straight out, amazing! I bunged the t-shirt back in the wash to get the stain remover out, but as ever, did a brilliant job, thank you! I love your products as for a Mum of a kiddie who has multiple allergies, they are fantastic – especially as you can remove the citric acid from his washing powder, yet it still works brilliantly.
